ORIGIN OF CHEESE BREAD
Through Portuguese settlers in Brazil, slaves prepared and peeled cassava root and made bread from it. At that time, there was no cheese on the breads. In the late 19th century, more ingredients became available, such as milk and cheese. They added milk and cheese to tapioca bread making what we now know as cheese bread.
